In recent studies doctors have been able to prove that sinusitis can be caused by stress. One condition that makes this is happen is called vasomotor rhinitis. A lot of things can cause us to have stress. It can be a job loss, death or sudden change of events. We don't always know how to handle stress and it can really cause health problems.
There are physical symptoms that involve stress:
- Upset stomach
- Your heart pounds
- A dry mouth
- Using the bathroom a lot
- Palms sweating
- Tight muscles causing pain
- Problems with breathing
Mental symptoms of stress include:
- Irritably
- Not being able to sleep
- Feeling really tired
- Tension
- Lack of concentration
Things that you can do to help relax your body and relieve stress:
- Meditation
- Humor
- Massages
- Hobbies
- Exercise
Don't let the stress control you. Use breathing techniques and try your best to remain calm if at all possible.
