What is an Allergy Skin Test?

When someone starts struggling with allergies and not sure what they are allergic to, most of the time doctors will suggest to them to have an allergy test. It's a very easy and quick test done that will help come to the conclusion of why you are having allergy problems.

When you are taking a allergy test they will put certain allergens on your skin. It'll be just a dab of allergens. After they put it on your skin they will watch and see if your skin reacts in a certain way. Most people can usually tell that same day or night if they are allergic to something after the test is done.

Most people have allergy tests done to see if they have any of these conditions:

- Hay fever
- Food allergies
- Allergic asthma
- Dermatitis
- Bee sting allergies
- Penicillin allergies

They can determine exactly what it is you're allergic to and that will help you with knowing what you should stay away from. Not only does it help with that but they will be able to know what kind of medication you should take.
