What are Nasal Polyps?

Growths that develop into a shape that is like a teardrop and noncancerous that are located on the lining of the nasal or sinus passages is called nasal polyps. You can have chronic inflammation at your sinus area and when this happens the doctor usually gives you medication to treat it.

Here are the symptoms of when your nasal polyps have become chronic:

- Itching around the eyes
- Postnasal drop
- A runny nose
- Lack of taste and sense or none at all
- Snoring
- Pain on your face or headaches
- Stuffiness that will not leave

People often confuse nasal polyp conditions with colds. If left untreated it, you might have to go into the hospital from second or third degree infections. When you are put on medications for chronic inflammation, always drink plenty of water, eat tiny meals and get plenty of rest.
