Inhaled steroids & Asthma Symptoms

Patients having problems with mucus production or inflammation might be given inhaled steroids. These are really used a lot for ones that have asthma.

The reasons why inhaled steroids are used:

- It helps with your asthma and controls it better
- Relieves your symptoms
- Reduces your chance of hospitalization

Here are some known inhaled steroids:

- Qvar
- Advair
- Flovent
- Asmanex
- Pulmicort
- Symbicort

Sometimes Asthma might not develop until later in life and some people confuse asthma symptoms with allergies.

Asthma Symptoms Include:

- Shortness of breath
- Wheezing
- Coughing
- Pain
- Pressure
- Chest tightness

Patients often experience trouble sleeping at night when they are having asthma problems. In some cases Asthma might become chronic. A lot of children also struggle with asthma. When you are always having problems at night and you start having questions on if it is asthma or allergies that is when you should contact your doctor right away.
