Why are people allergic to dust?

Dust allergens are generally caused by what is known as dust mites. Let’s find out what dust mites are. They are basically minute arachnids thriving in temperature more than 70 degree and humidity above 75%. These creatures are mostly found in carpets, bedding and sometimes also on the skin of your pet.

Allergy symptoms can also be triggered when people with dust allergy come in contact with warm blooded animals like hamsters, guinea pigs, dogs, cats etc. Saliva, urine, dead skin and hair of these animals can cause allergy attacks in people with dust allergy.

Improper cleaning of house may also result in frequent allergy attacks. Most of our homes have a certain percentage of dust in them. This may not be harmful for a normal individual. However, when a person with dust allergy gets exposed to minute dust particles present in the air, he or she will definitely suffer from allergy attacks. The biggest concern about this is that even regular cleaning is not enough for making the house conducive for such people. Moreover, cleaning devices like air sprayer or feather duster can even worsen the condition of the patient.

The only way of avoiding any such situation is: staying away from all probable allergens causing dust allergy symptoms.
